Die Flachdichtung benötigt am Ende des Gewindekanals eine Auflagefläche (Zeichnung Rot markiert). Die Gewindetiefe des Aussengewindes muß länger als die Einstichtiefe des Innengewindes sein.

Tipp: Dichtungen aus TPE
TPE (thermoplastische Elastomere) ist ein moderner Kunststoff, der die Eigenschaften von Gummi mit denen von Thermoplasten vereint. Er läßt sich durch Wärmezufuhr plastisch verformen, was eine Verarbeitung durch Spritzgießen und Extrusion ermöglicht. TPE ist ungiftig, läßt sich hervorragend recyclen und ist biologisch abbaubar. Während herkömmliche Gummisorten im Laufe der Zeit austrocknen, hält TPE jahrelang. Die chemische Zusammensetzung sorgt dafür, dass das Material gegen UV-Strahlen und die unterschiedlichsten Witterungsverhältnisse beständig ist, ohne dass es an Qualität verliert.
