Swing joint installation example

The swing joint - the connection between supply line and sprinkler
Your planning and execution of your new irrigation system was perfect and you are rightly proud of your work. During installation, however, you were annoyed by the fact that the exact height alignment of the sprinklers required constant readjustment and adjustment. The slightest movement of the line immediately resulted in a long realignment.
Now, after a few weeks, you realize to your horror that the sprinklers are no longer level with the top edge due to the settling of the ground - you could actually start all over again.
The Swing Joint as a solution
With the Swing Joint, the sprinkler can be individually adjusted up to a height of 30 cm and the radius of the sprinkler up to 30 cm. Thanks to the angle joints on both sides, the Swing Joint can be rotated 360 degrees on both sides. This means that any angled connections can be realized - whether directly next to the laying pipe or within a radius of 30 cm.
The swing joint serves as an intermediate piece between the supply line (pipeline) and the sprinkler. It does not matter whether you connect the outlet with a compression fitting for PE pipe or with a tapping clamp create the outlet.
The use of swing joints offers these advantages
Align the sprinkler precisely
The sprinkler head should end at ground level and rise straight up. The depth, position and alignment can be adjusted with a swing joint regardless of the course of the pipeline. When backfilling the trench, each sprinkler can still be finally adjusted.
Corrections can also be made retrospectively
Was a sprinkler installed too high, too low or crooked? No problem: just dig up directly at the swing joint and correct the sprinkler. The swing joint also prevents pressure from acting directly on the supply pipe - this reduces potential damage.
Simple replacement of a sprinkler
The defective sprinkler can be unscrewed and replaced directly - the Swing Joint makes it easy to readjust the height. Extensive exposure of the supply pipe is not necessary.
Flexible placement
You don't have to stubbornly follow the course of the pipe. With a Swing Joint, you can position the branch flexibly and place the sprinkler where it is needed. However, self-made alternatives made of hose do not remain in position - this is precisely the advantage of the swing joint.
Subsequent relocation
Wrong sprinkler? Wrong place? No problem with a swing joint. Simply guide to the new position or connect with double socket extend.
Alternatives
Funny Pipes (flexible hose) are available as a pre-assembled solution or by the meter. Hunter, Rain Bird and Toro offer suitable products. The Blue Lock system from HydroRain also relies on plug-in connections.
However, the genuine Swing Joint with its four-joint system remains in the set position - this makes installation easier and protects during backfilling.
