Description
Hunter wind sensor type Wind-Clik
Turns off the sprinkler system during high wind speeds.
Take a look at the performance graph of all sprinklers and you'll see that the data collected is from tests conducted in calm conditions. Of course, in the real world, not every day is a calm day. Although most sprinklers can operate close to their optimum efficiency in a light breeze, water distribution becomes critical as soon as the wind gusts increase in strength. This can even become a liability issue when water blown by sprinklers softens walkways or causes wet pavement. The Hunter Wind-Clik conserves water and increases system efficiency by shutting off irrigation during high winds. Once weather conditions improve, Wind Clik resets the system and resumes irrigation.
Key benefits:
- Activation and reset adjustable for different wind speeds
- Two operating modes: "normally open" or "normally closed" wiring
- Control of fountain systems to prevent overspray in windy conditions
Operating data:
- Height: 10cm, diameter of wind vane: 13cm
- Rated switch current: max. 5A at 24 VAC
- Release speed: 19 to 56 km/h
- Reset speed: 13 to 39 km/h
- Mounting: Adhesive sleeve on 50mm PVC pipe or attachment to 1/2" cable conduit via adapter (included)
