Structure of a PP compression fitting for PE pipe

Number Description Material
 1  Body  PP
 2  O-ring ePDM
 3 insert part pP
 4 grip ring pOM
 5  Union nut pP

PP Polypropylene is a hard plastic, unlike PE pipes. The grip ring cuts into the outside of the PE pipe when the union nut is tightened. This creates a stable, mechanical connection between the pipe and the fitting. The insert holds the O-ring in position so that it seals the PE pipe after assembly. Chamfering is necessary and moistening is helpful when inserting the PE pipe into the fitting so that the PE pipe does not damage the O-ring when it is pushed in and does not push the O-ring down into the pipe channel.
The clamp connector is a permanent connection but can be disconnected at any time and reused at a different location.

Pipes made of PELD, PEHD, PE40, PE80 and PE100 and PVC flexible hoses and adhesive hoses can be quickly and easily connected with our PP compression fittings from HTC Logo without glue or special tools.

The material PP polypropylene is extremely robust, weather and UV resistant, as well as resistant to inorganic salts in aqueous solutions, weak organic acids and alkalis, alcohol and partially oils.

Absolutely non-toxic, odorless and tasteless, compression fittings made of PP polypropylene from HTC Logo are also suitable for transporting drinking water, wine, beverages and other nourishing liquids - however, without certification.

The maximum operating pressure is PN 16 bar at 20°C water. Although designed for cold water applications, the material can be used continuously in the range of 0°C to 60°C, and briefly up to +80°C at reduced performance levels. The threaded connection of the PE/PP transition coupling with compression fitting is reinforced with a metal ring and also achieves the performance level required for a maximum connection of PN 16 bar.

Selecting the right compression fittings for your pipe is incredibly easy: PE pipes are always specified in mm. This metric measurement refers to the pipe's outer diameter. If you use a pipe with a lower density and therefore a thinner wall, the inner diameter changes – the outer diameter of the pipe always remains the same. For example, if you have a pipe with an outer diameter of 25 mm, you need compression fittings with an inner diameter of 25 mm.

Polypropylene compression fittings for PE pipe from HTC are the best choice. The maximum working pressure of 16 bar (BSS to PN) is more informative than the maximum pressure rating alone. A fitting with high-quality components is certainly a better alternative than one designed for the bare minimum. The price-performance ratio is excellent for items from our webshop, PVC-Welt.de..

PE fittings and PE pipe for drinking water, process water and irrigation

PP compression fittings, also known as PE fittings or PE pipe fittings, have established themselves as cost-effective, high-quality components in water supply construction, particularly in cold water systems and irrigation systems. Due to their quick and easy installation, polypropylene compression fittings – PE compression fittings – are almost always used for pipe diameters up to 110 mm. Compression fittings for PE pipe from HTC Logo are distinguished not only by their high-quality workmanship and quality, on par with other European manufacturers, but also by the black coloring of the visible components (body, union nut). This results in UV stability and, in the case of visible installation, the fitting integrates perfectly into the surroundings due to its purely black appearance.
