Black PVC-U pipes and fittings are mostly used when heating of the flowing medium is desired, such as in pool piping or a bypass to a solar heating system. The black pipe heats up faster and more intensely when exposed to sunlight, thus helping to heat the pool water.

PVC-Welt.de offers you the largest range of black fittings in the 50mm dimension. These fittings are manufactured according to our specifications and are absolutely UV-resistant.

PVC-U pipe in black is not UV-resistant but is additionally UV-stabilized. Permanent UV stability is not possible due to the manufacturing process of PVC-U pipes. To prevent the pipes from fading, a protective coating with UV-resistant paint can help.

PVC-U pipes and fittings are designed for cold water applications. However, with some limitations, they can also be used for transporting warm water at reduced values of up to approx. +45°C. They can be used as inlet and outlet pipes for heat pumps in pool technology, provided that the maximum temperature specifications are observed. Please note, however, that constant use at the upper limit will reduce the quality of the pipe more quickly. Prolonged, intense exposure to sunlight will cause the pipes to become brittle – a protective coating can help here. When exposed to sunlight (this also applies when it is cloudy!), circulation must take place!

PVC-U pipes in 16 bar for connecting a solar pool heating system offer you two advantages over PN 10 pipes, which may not be obvious at first glance

• Due to the higher wall thickness and the resulting increased quality, a PVC-U pipe in 16 bar has more stability and quality in the limit range
• The greater wall thickness can store and release heat more effectively and for longer

UV resistance

Our PVC-U pipes and fittings in black are UV-stabilized. You can achieve 100% UV resistance with a protective coating of UV-resistant paint.
