   Description

RPE / VPN solenoid valves from 9 - 24 volts in direct current (DC) or alternating current (AC)

The solenoid valves of the 2nd series(without flow control) and 3rd series(with flow control) from the Italian manufacturer RPE and the identical VPN solenoid valves from Irritec were produced for professional irrigation systems. The 2nd series was designed for smaller irrigation systems on balconies, in gardens or greenhouses, whereas the valves of the 3rd series are suitable for use on agricultural land and sports facilities as well as for private use in gardens and on terraces. The flow can also be started manually via the bayonet opening through the classic solenoid coil with yellow/black ring. To do this, the ring is lifted and the coil is turned counterclockwise until resistance is felt. To close the flow, the solenoid coil must be turned clockwise again until it locks.
It is also possible to combine the different solenoid coils from 9 V bistable lachting, 24 VDC and 24 VAC in the normally open (NO) and 24 VDC to the classic 24 VAC solenoid coil in the normally closed (NC) state with each RPE/VPN solenoid valve. Here too, as with manual opening, the ring of the solenoid coil is lifted and turned up to the first resistance and then turned further counterclockwise by slightly overcoming the resistance and the coil is pulled upwards. The new solenoid coil can be fitted or installed by following the same steps in reverse order.

Classic current-connected irrigation controllers are usually operated with 24 VAC NC (alternating current) solenoid valves. Battery-operated control units are operated with 9 V coils. Whereas 24 VDC DC solenoid valves are often used in smart home systems and individual control cabinets.

Features of the RPE/VPN solenoid valves:
