   Description

RPE low pressure solenoid valve for use with purely physical water pressure


This 3rd series solenoid valve from the manufacturer RPE with flow control was designed for special applications with very low working pressure. This solenoid valve can therefore be used for automated irrigation of balconies, raised beds, greenhouses or plant gardens using drip or micro irrigation. And all without the water pressure of the domestic water supply or the use of a garden pump! The purely physical water pressure of e.g. a rain barrel or an IBC container with a height difference of at least 50 cm to the low-pressure solenoid valve is sufficient. The solenoid valve requires a flow or opening pressure of 0.05 bar, which can be achieved through this height difference. In conjunction with a battery-operated solenoid valve control unit and the 9 - 12V DC bistable solenoid coil, you can realize your automated irrigation completely self-sufficiently and watch your plants grow in a relaxed manner.


In addition, the different solenoid coils from 9 V bistable lachting, 24 VDC and 24 VAC in the normally open (NO) and 24 VDC to the classic 24 VAC solenoid coil in the normally closed (NC) state can be combined with any RPE/VTN solenoid valve. Here, as with manual opening, the ring of the solenoid coil is lifted and turned up to the first resistance and then turned further counterclockwise by slightly overcoming the resistance and the coil is pulled upwards. The new solenoid coil can be fitted or installed by following the same steps in reverse order.


Classic current-connected irrigation controllers are usually operated with 24 VAC NC (alternating current) solenoid valves. Battery-operated control units are operated with 9 V coils. Whereas 24 VDC DC solenoid valves are often used in smart home systems and individual control cabinets.
