Brass hose clamps and hose connectors are ideal for transporting cold and hot water. They can also be used with various chemicals, oils and petrol. Brass hose clamps are excellent for outdoor use and can also be used for rainwater transport.
The external thread of the hose clamp is the BSP Whitworth pipe thread commonly used in the plumbing industry, also sometimes known as the "gas thread". This means that the brass hose clamps with an external thread can also be combined with other fittings. Brass hose clamps are rustproof and corrosion-resistant, durable and can be used for liquid and gaseous media. Brass hose clamps can be used for cold and hot water, but not for salt water and/or water containing chlorine.
Brass hose clamps with external threads must be sealed with a suitable thread sealant. Sealing can be done with Teflon, and hemp or flax can be used in conjunction with metal fittings. The hose should be fixed to the brass hose clamp with a hose clamp. When used with plastic threads, ideally use transition fittings with integrated metal threads. When screwing into a plastic thread, please take care not to damage the thread or, when placing at an angle, to cut a "new" thread.
