Description
Measuring device for pressure and flow rate determination
The indispensable tool for planning an irrigation system
- Designed as a 1" system for optimum flow rate
- High-quality pressure gauge 2" V2A stainless steel with glycerine filling
- Available in 3 connection variants to cover all tap connections
- Pre-assembled, Teflon tape included for resealing
Which connection does my tap have?
No suitable connection to the existing tap - that doesn't have to be the case.
Please check the connection size of your tap using an example
Body in 1" size and pressure gauge with glycerine filling: The main pipe or ring/zone pipe in an irrigation system is usually a 32 mm PE pipe. With a measuring device of the same size, you can avoid additional deviations or inaccuracies. A pressure gauge with glycerine filling ensures that the pointer remains steady under high vibration loads.
The higher quality measuring device gives you a more accurate measurement result.
How much water is available for your planned irrigation system? This meter is used to determine the amount of water available
- Screw the GEKA adapter onto the tap or the existing external thread
- Connect the measuring device to the GEKA counterpart on the adapter
- Open the water tap fully (drain into a closed room with at least 19 mm (3/4") hose)
- Regulate the water flow with the ball valve on the meter so that a line pressure of 3.5 bar is displayed on the pressure gauge
- Fill a 10 l bucket and record the time it takes
As an example, your 10l bucket was filled in 20sec.
- 3.600 Seconds/ Hour: 20 seconds = 180 buckets
- 180 buckets x 10l = 1,800 liters / hour
- IYour planned irrigation system has 1,800 liters / hour at its disposal
- As an example, you can theoretically operate 18 sprinklers with an hourly consumption of 100 liters. However, a planned buffer is recommended
The measuring device for pressure and flow rate determination in use
Determine the maximum withdrawal quantity quickly and easily with our pressure and flow meter. The glycerine bearing of the display in the high-quality pressure gauge prevents the display needle from "trembling" and therefore enables a more precise setting and ultimately a more accurate quantity determination.
Work with several zone circuits if the total consumption of the sprinklers exceeds the amount of water available on the line. Also plan several irrigation sectors if the requirements of your property require different irrigation.
