Description
Bourdon tube pressure gauge type 1.5" stainless steel V2A with glycerine filling
for gaseous and liquid media which do not attack copper
Advantage of glycerine filling
Filling with glycerine is ideal for high, dynamic shock and vibration loads. The liquid has a damping effect and relieves the mechanical components of the pressure gauge. A glycerine-water mixture is suitable for most applications and ambient temperatures. The pressure gauge housing is not completely filled, as the glycerine-water mixture absorbs additional water depending on the humidity and ambient temperature and expands accordingly.Shortcuts
- No pointer fluttering
- No damage to the mechanics
- No fogging of the dial
- Mechanics are constantly immersed in protective and lubricating fluid
Our high-quality pressure gauge with V2A stainless steel housing and glycerine filling as a 1.5 inch version is ideal for installation in hard-to-reach places and as a monitoring fitting, which can be placed discreetly due to its compact size.
The connection - 1/8" BSP G threaded connection - made of brass is directed radially downwards. The pressure gauge is filled with approx. 80 - 90% glycerine so that the mixture can expand with temperature fluctuations. The glycerine filling allows the needle to remain steady, which is extremely advantageous in the event of vibrations and frequent pressure changes. A maximum deflection of the needle - pressure peaks or shocks that occur - is slowed down, so that the glycerine filling prevents possible damage to the Bourdon tube mechanism in pressure gauges and thus counteracts material fatigue and malfunction. The rubber nipple used is cut on or off so that pressure equalization takes place.
The high accuracy class of 1.6 (max. 1.6% deviation from the measured value) enables an exact reproduction of the prevailing pressure value. In tough applications, possibly in humid environments, with oily or corrosive media, the V2A stainless steel housing of the pressure gauge is the better choice than a conventional steel housing.
Pressure gauges are also known as pressure meters and are used to measure the pressure in liquids and gases. On the one hand, this indicates whether the desired pressure has been reached or the display warns of possible overpressure, which could lead to damage to system components.
