The robust construction ensures a long-lasting, tight connection – alternative fittings often loosen or leak due to thermal expansion and contraction between day and night.
The polypropylene material used for the union nut easily withstands impact, even from a fall from greater height – thin-walled PVC-U alternatives, however, can crack or chip when dropped onto a hard surface.
