The bending radius
The bending radius is a recommendation as to how tightly you can lay the hose in a half bend without the hose kinking or being damaged. This maximum guide value is significantly influenced by the temperature of the environment and the hose itself during installation!Bending radius of the cable protection conduit
The advantage of our plastic (PVC) spiral conduits is their flexibility compared to steel spiral conduits, which are more robust. Spiral conduit as cable protection conduit
A PVC spiral conduit is ideal for cable protection. It is designed to be both flexible and kink-resistant. The corrugation of the corrugated surface gives the cable protection conduit its flexibility and the spiral makes the conduit stable at the same time. You can choose between different conduit diameters depending on the number of cables. For reasons of space and cost, it makes sense to keep the inner diameter as small as possible, but if you plan to pull in additional cables at a later date, the conduit should be larger.
When should you use a cable conduit?
Flexible cable conduits can be used for concrete, flush-mounted or cavity wall installations. It is not always possible to lay the cables under the plaster in domestic or commercial building installations. Cables must be permanently protected both during installation and afterwards. This is why cable protection conduit is used to prevent cables or lines from being subjected to mechanical stress. A cable conduit is also used if the cables are to be replaced at a later date or as an empty conduit for subsequently pulling in cables.
The protective conduit is also the ideal solution for telephone lines. Most telecommunications providers require the cables to be laid up to the first telephone socket so that they can be replaced.
