Important: The 2/3 PVC-U coupling is one of the most commonly used connections between a pump’s male socket (flat-sealing external thread) and the piping system. This requires the pump to have a BSP (G) thread manufactured according to the standard – therefore, always ensure before purchasing a pump that the thread is made to specification. Unfortunately, even reputable pump manufacturers increasingly include non-standardised union connections. In these cases, a breakage often means that only the manufacturer’s expensive original spare part – if offered at all – will fit.
